help!!8024402c error

everytime i try and check for updates i get this 8024402c error message and
ii have tried changing the settings to automaticall update. doesnt change
anything
i have tried changing my network
i have tried taking out any eceptions in my lan settings.
tried everything listed on here so far and i still cant get it to work
help!!! this is driving me crazy!!!

Some 'thing' is blocking the system from connecting to the update servers.
