Thanks for the reply.
I should have mentioned that Help and Support was already enabled on
the customize list; that's why I have something to click on when I
call up the Start menu.
I've tried disabling Help and Support in the customize list - that
removes the command from the Start menu - and then re-enabling Help
and Support to put it back on the Start menu to see if somehow that
connects the command to the program, but it doesn't.
It seems like the Search reg file did something the
RestoreHelpandSupport reg file doesn't undo.
