I recently insatall IE7 Beta and did it cause some damage.
When I turn on I get the following message;-
"Your SQL Server Installation is either corrupt or has been tampered with
(Could not open SQLEVN70.RLL). Please un-install then rerun to correct this
problem"
I have MS SQL Server Desktop Engine (CONSOLE) 8.00.761 Un-install is not an
option, have tried the repair button, this brings up a window:-
"the feature you are trying to use is on a network resource that is
unavailable.
Click OK to try again, or enter an alternative path to a folder containing
the installation package SqlRun01.Msi on the box below"
Doesn't work.
Next problem is when I open Outlook, I get the message:-
"there was a problem connecting to the database engine. To try again, please
click Retry. If problem persists, check Help"
Help button doesn't even work. Retry produces window:-
Business Contact Manager cannot load all of your data. Please try again later.
Also make sure you have permissions to access this data. If you're unsure
check with your system administrator. If the problem persists contact
Support. To locate contact information, click BCM Help on the Help Menu,
click Basics then Contact Us"
Business Contact Manager has disappeared the instructions are not operative.
I have done System Restore and the problem remains.
I had downloaded the upgrades for Office2003 Pro but do not believe this to
be a problem. I also downloaded IE7 Beta and believe the problem was with
this programme. The system restore changed this back to IE6.
Can anyone help? I have searched high and low but have not found anyone else
with this problem
