HELP!! cannot Open Msn live Messenger

i installed msn live messenger 8.1 in to my laptop window xp a week ago and
everything was working fine. One daych msn live just wont open ... clicking
on the icon was furtile and nothing appear but checking on the task manager
in the process tab, there are multiple msnmsgr.exe running. I tried to
uninstall and reinstall but doesnt it resolve anything. I check my firewall
but msn live is an approved program i disable my router firewall, and i also
try rebooting my router, msn just wont open. i really appreciate any sort of
assistance anyone can provivde. thanks in advance.

I was having the exact same problem and did all the same things.. Its been
two days, and basically I was ready to go insane.. but I looked back at some
other people that had the same problem. All I did was reset my router and
bingo, it was all good again.. good luck.

I've had the same issue. I've tried absolutely everything. I've reset
my router, re-installed, even put on a clean version of vista and
nothing will work. I've even tried older versions of msn messengers and
none of those work either. I'm ready to go insane. I've got friends in
canada that can only use WLM on campus and I can't talk to any of them.
Any help would be seriously appreciated.

The fact that you are also having problems with Yahoo Messenger (I assume that's
what you mean) suggests a more widespread problem with the PC or a strange
coincidence.
