What program on your pc are you trying to sync with? Where are the
contacts (folder) stored on your ppc?

| Try deleting the partnership (File -> Delete Partnership), re-cradle
| the device and create a new partnership. If that fails, run Help ->
| Detect and Repair in Outlook then reinstall ActiveSync.
