Help with CD Drive

CD Drive is a MITSUMI CR-487ETE, and the drivers are installed everything,
and I have tried checking the cables and evrything, the problem is, that when
Iput in any type of cd it wont read it, I mean my computer knows my cd drive
is htere and it says it is working properly, but it will not let me use a CD,
I've tried rolling back a driver but none to roll back, tried updating it but
nothing, can anyone help me with this? please, it would be a big help.
