Help converting fle - or steering me to the right newsgroup

I have a homemade video in Quick Time for Windows. I want to (if possible)
convert that to a program that can be used on regular DVD players.
Anyone have any experience with that?

Check download.com for video converters or DVD burners, depending on the
file formet.

If you can get a tool to convert to wmv format, then you can use Vista's
Movie Maker / DVD Maker to do the rest.
