Guys,
I have one specific DC that is loosing time. If I restart the server or the
w32time service, the time is correct for the first minute. After that their
is a skew of 11 minutes between this DC and the PDC Emulator (and all other
DCs) as a result my clients are also being affected.
Windows 2003 Sp2
Please Help!
Thanks

Check the time settings and correct them according to
http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/l...45(WS.10).aspx

Cheers,
Florian

Hey Florian,
I checked that document before.
Most importantly though, I just learnt this DC is being hosted on VMWare
Server 2.0. I'm thinking this is the source of my problem as it is the only
one currently having this issue that I'm aware of.

Then make sure that time sync between the host (VMWare host) and the
guest (your DC) is disabled. See
http://www.vmware.com/support/gsx3/d..._sync_gsx.html or
other related VMWare docs on this.

Cheers,
Florian

Here's another doc on how to disable time sync:

Solved! The guest was taking the time from the host, so I adjusted the clock
on the host and all seems well while also setting the host to NT5DS instead
of NTP
Thanks Florian

Thanks Florian,
As you see I was posting at the sametime as you. However, in the future I
will work with the disabling the time sync option.
Thanks again

Yea you really need to disable it. If the Host's time drifts then you will
be back in the same mess. I've been there.
