Try rolling back the driver for your Intel(R) 82915G/GV/910GL Express
Chipset graphics card. Dell Tech Support should be able to walk you through
it.

Or try using System Restore, selecting a Restore Point predating the install
of recent Windows Updates (which included the Intel driver update).

You may want to consider taking the machine (just the tower) to a reputable,
independent (e.g., not Best Buy or CompUSA) local shop and have them address
the driver issue.

Let us know how you make out.

I have the exact same issue with my Dell... it is driving me crazy. On April
20 an auto. update loaded something to the video driver. I can see on MS
Update History where I accepted the update, but using Add/Remove Programs,
every update is there except that one, so I can't just remove it. I have
tried updating the driver, rolling the driver back, changing the monitor from
E772c to standard intel... nothing works. I cannot change the display off of
640x480, so of course nothing fits on the screen. THIS IS DRIVING ME
CRAZY.... HELP!!! Who can I contact... this has to be MS's problem... Help if
you can... thanks

This helped me, if your not happy w/it its easy to reverse. Go to control
panel, display, settings, adjust the screen resolution to 1024x768 pixels.
Which should be the second notch from the left. Good luck with this very
annoying problem...
