Help with installation, from anyone please!

I am finally able to view the downloads but none of them can be installed.
This is one of errors 0x80246008

- Operating system involved?
- If a NT/Windows 2000/XP/Windows 2003 OS - what service pack level?
- Is this from the Windows Update web page?
- Can you turn on Automatic Updates and get updates that way?

yes straight from the windows update page. Automatic updates do not work
either

That is what the microsoft person had me do but doing those steps only
allowed me to view the downloads, I still cant install them.

What did the MS person say after you advised him/her that you were still
unable to install the updates?

Have you tried a manual download and installation of the updates?

i am having a similar problem.
1. i cant install the updates
2. when i am trying to start the background intelligent transfer i am
getting the answer "windows could not start the background intelligent
transfer on local computer. error no: -2147024891
