help with installing

I'm trying to install Security Update for Microsoft Windows (KB898458) and
Intel(R) 82845G/GL/GE/PE/GV Graphics Controller, however windows tells me
that the installation was unsuccessful. It doesn't give me an error or
anything like that. I had the same problem with a few other ones, however I
was able to download them from the microsoft site and successfully install
them. I tried with these two, but it didn't work. Any thoughts as to what
to do?
