We bought our twin daughters Dell Laptops, I was torn between getting XP or
Vista but went with Vista mainly for it's Parental controls. In getting
them set up for they're birthday this coming weekend I had everything set up
EXCEPT I cannot get Vista to stop asking for the Administrator's Password
when starting iTunes. I have tried everything I can think of, Right clicked
on the iTunes exe. and told it to run as administrator, gone into the edit
and made sure "Permissions" were set for "Full" use, went to any application
icon associtated with iTunes and changed them to administrator and "Full"
Permission and then in a last ditch effort went into the Parental Control
set up for "Allow and Block Programs" and checked all programs (iTunes was
on the list) and set them to be allowed into use in her User settings and
still everytime I try to start iTunes in her log in it want the
Administrators Password.. ANYONE know a cure?? Both daughters use iTunes
extensively so I need it to work or I will have to scrap using Parental
Controls which I hate to do since it lets me also set time limits and
content blocking.... Thanks in advance!! PS also uninstalled and reinstalled
it both under Admin sign in and User sign in and same problem.

I'm using iTunes Version 7.4.3 here on Ultimate and it doesn't ask, make sure
you have the latest version is all I know.

Well here's a new twist, I just gave up and shut off the UAC on the one
notebook and started setting up the other and guess what, after installing
iTunes and going to the iTunes exe. and setting it as Run as Admin it worked
perfectly.. Why it worked on one and not the other has me a bit confused(they
are both brand new and identical).. any ideas????
