HELP ME, I CAN'T SYNCH MY 64GB iPOD TOUCH TO WMP

I'm connecting via usb port, but it keeps saying connect device. I have no
idea what i am doing wrong, I connected my girlfriends mp3 player, but that
had a switch that you flicked so the pc recognised it. I am using windows xp
and want to transfer all my songs to my new iPod, but its just not happening

WMP doesn't have built-in support for syncing an iPod. You will need to
install one of the plug-ins listed at
http://thewelltemperedcomputer.com/SW/WMP/Sync.htm for this.

Both plug-ins are shareware. If you want a free alternative, you can use
Winamp which does have built-in iPod support.
