T7700, 4GB RAM, Business, and a perfectly functional
Vista installation - but the grass is always greener and
as an old geek I want SP1 !!

Winver reports "Build 6000"
Windows Update says "No Updates Available", even after
checking

Microsoft customer support (fast response, by the way)
says there may be an incompatible driver in the way, so
I downloaded the MS Blocker tool and used it to Unblock,
thinking I could deal with any driver problem once I
know what it is.

HOWEVER:
Update *still* says No Updates Available...

Thanks!

I read the top 8 reasons, and looked at the download.

MS thinks I have an incompatible driver, but as
mentioned I'm prepared to deal with that after
installing SP1. At the moment, I don't know which it is...

The download site offers only that 434MB download, and
MS says it's for multi-computer environments. For
single-computer installations, I'm to use Windows Update.

Well, I suppose I can afford the time to download, and
will do it.

What a horse's ass you are! This is a Vista discussion
group, my question is about my Vista OS computer, and
you generate an idiotic answer that suggests changing to
a different OS. I've tried several derivatives of Linux,
and it will not provide the business functionality upon
which my income depends.

Go play with your hobby computer - I work in the world
of business.
