Help! Messenger keeps closing on me

For the past week everytime I log into messenger everything works fine until
after I type a message and hit send. When I touch the send button, the
entire program closes and logs me out of Messenger. I have tried
reinstalling the program and also downloaded and installed the latest update,
but the problem continues.

I am able to see messages sent by other, but once I reply, I get closed down.

Please help,

My Messnger V 8 with XP keeps disconnecting and the offering to reconnect in
about 30 secs

Please advise solution

I have the same problem, but not only when replying. If I minimize the chat
window, minimize the WLM window, almost anything I do will result in WLM
closing down... This is the worst messenger version yet, and I have had NO
ISSUES what-so-ever with earlier versions of messenger. I tell you, they
should get give is the option to DL earlier versions again so we can improve
our messenger again.
