My microphone is inside my monitor, I have no way of unplugging it or
anything, and one would assume it to be already installed. All my drivers are
updated, and everything is new, I have checked all settings and the Find New
Hardware options. Nothing works, and my microphone does not operate, although
it did once before. Please help?

We're pretty much in the dark too. A standard analog video card doesn't
have the capability of transmitting an audio signal back into the
computer. I would suspect that would require a USB connection or a cord
connecting to the microphone in jack on your motherboard or sound card.
I don't know if that capability exists in the newer digital video
interfaces a some flat panels are able to use.

What Brand and model monitor are you using? Please indicate if you are
useing the older trapezoidal (four sided shape with angled ends) VGA
connector or the newer rectangular DVI connector. Also indicate if you
are using a CRT (convex or flat screen sticks out over a foot in the
back) or a flat panel (these are the ones only a couple of inches
thick). Also indicate if your monitor has or came with a audio cable
reseblling those on a set of stereo headphones OR a USB cable with a
small rectangular end and symbol resembling a branching tree.

Also needed: Operating System Identification and version?
Service packs installed? Sound connectors on motherboard or expansion
card? Desktop or notebook computer? Unused connectors/jacks on back of
monitor?
