Help - Microsoft has withdrawn the FAX Facility!

Hi

This is a bit of a ****** nuisance to say the least!

Whereas my old PC (using Windows 'XP Home') provided FAX facilities, my new
PC (using Windows 'VISTA Home Premium') does not.

I never imagined that in 'upgrading' I would find that Microsoft had
withdrawn the FAX facility I had, not unreasonably, even bought a modem
(purely to use for FAX) as an extra for the new PC: clearly I have wasted
my money.

If anyone could recommend some simple software (maybe a 'freebie') I would
be very grateful.

Here's hoping ....

Cheers
John

Here is the suggestion from John Barnes on 15 Aug:

http://www.snappyfax.com/ Not free, but free for an unrestricted 30 days.
Then $30 if I recall for the non server edition.

Hi

Many thanks for your quick reply. Looks good - I'll have a go with the
trial and, at such a reasonable cost, look forward to buying it.

Thanks again.
John
