Help I need HElp

I am using an advent windows vista laptop and it wont charge. When it is
pluged in it works fine but as soon as i unplug it the laptop shuts down
instead of running on battery.

Sounds like a hardware problem to me. If it's new enough, take it in
for warranty service. If you've had it for a couple of years or so,
I'd suspect the battery. Laptop batteries do have a finite life span
and you can buy replacements.
