help needed

Hi All,
A few months ago a guy at work emigrated and sold me his WORD 2007,,he let
me have it cheap and i waspleased with it,the trouble started when i wanted
to install a small program to help me manage my window cleaning round.It
wont function without microsoft excel,ok i thought no prob,i had excel on
the cd,so i installed it,again no prob,but when i started it up it wanted me
to enter the productkey,which i entered from the original word cd ,both
programs along with excess etc are all on the same cd.Howver when i try and
enter the key,it just wont have it,and keeps telling me its the wrong key.i
can only use it now about 20 times before the activation thing runs out.A
freind has told me that its a fake or copeid cd thats why i got it cheap,my
fault entirely but i was not aware when i brought it that it was fake,i was
just stupid enough to be pleased with a bargain.Can anyone please tell me
here is there anyway around this problem? there is no way i can buy it,i
dont earn enough and it would break me to buy a new copy,ive tried a key gen
but after feeding in a bout a 100 codes that were rejected ive given up.Any
help would be gratefully recieved,the guy who sold it to me is somewhere in
the great outback sans mobile.please help if you can.

if the cd was only with WORD, then the product key is valid only for WORD
and no other office application like excel or powerpoint. It is a single
package with word and that is what you bought..

now you are trying to add another program from another cd (excel) and you
want it to work?

you cant do that...

you have to either buy excel as a seperate package,
or buy office2007 that has excel...

Perhaps you can upgrade word into office but I am not sure about that
path....

if you dont have money you can always use
openoffice from www.openoffice.org
that can open and save XLS (excel files)

Sadly, you are pretty much out of luck. If you don't have the packaging
with original key, and a Certificate of Authenticity, you probably have a
non-legitimate version and the only fix will be to get a legitimate one.
