A week ago i went to open a zip file by right clicking on it, choosing "open
with" and then "Choose Default Program."
Accidentally, I chose Word. Now, I can't seem to change this. I can't find
an option anywhere to get rid of this, nor is it showing me the "extract"
options anymore when I right click.

None of the options in the Start Menus Default Programs tab seem to do
anything of use for me either. What's going on?

Rightclick a Command Prompt icon on the start menu, and 'run as
administrator'
run the command :
regsvr32 zipfldr.dll

Since you can run explorer, you should try to save as much of your data as
possible to an external disk or drive, and run your 'repair' or 'restore to
factory defaults' to recover .
