Hi,
If the existing volume is damaged, you will need to delete and recreate it.
This will mean the loss of all data currently on it.
How does setup see the volume? As formatted NTFS or as Raw? Does it see the
volume at all?
As to the original problem of not being able to start windows, what was the
exact error message and how far into the boot did it go?
As Tae Song said, the drive may be damaged an in need of a replacement. A
diagnostic utility from the manufacturer would likely be a good first step.
