Sounds like you've been dealing with a bunch of incompetent techs.
A product key request should not be ignored, because if it comes
from Vista, it means Vista will essentially lock up 30 days from the
day it was first installed. You need to determine which program is
requesting that product key.
Microsoft Office will not conflict with Windows Mail. If the Office
version is the type that came with Outlook, you will have to choose
which one you want as your primary (default) email program,
Outlook or Windows Mail.
You can run Windows Mail, and it should guide you through the steps
necessary to set up your email account. Since you are paying Xtra
good money, they should be willing to walk you through the process.
But let us know if you get stuck at a particular step.
