Help with programs and features please

I'm running vista ultimate version 6.0.6000 build 6000 on a HP notebook.
The computer is only 4 months old and came with Vista.
I want to see what programs and features are turned on or off on my
computer. But when I go to control panel >programs and features >turn
windows features on or off >click continue on the UAC control I get a blank
box instead of a list of programs.

What I'm actually looking for is to see if the ultimate extras update is
turned on. The computer keeps telling me there are no ultimate extras
available. I know I there should be some.

Linda, simply type "extras" (without the quotes) in the Start Search
box. In the Windows Ultimate Extras window, simply click the Change
Settings on the left sidebar to ensure that the extras update feature
is turned on.
