What versions of rundll32.exe to have on your system where? That looks like
malware to me. It's not the Vista version.

What versions of rundll32.exe do you have on your system in what exact file
locations?

This determines your next course of action.

That does not correspond to me to this line from your initial post:
version: 5.0.2134.1

Did you do a thorough search for rundll32.exe in other locations on your
system?

Are you still getting this same crash? I would not think it would be
possible to crash in the version 5 file if that file is not on your system.

If that file keeps popping up on your system, that would seem like your
system has been infected with malware that you would need to remove before
things could be normal.

Got exactly the same problem after trying to use Vista Glazz. It isn't a
malware issue.
Visa Glazz guys are working on the issue.

Here is how I fixed it:

Go to the Vista Glazz's download page:
http://www.codegazer.com/vistaglazz/downloads/

And download the "current beta release"

Install, run and patch your system. it will ask you for a reboot.
I then had access to the themes and color and appearances.

Good luck.
