Help with shortcuts in MS Office

Since changing to a computer with Vista number of shortcuts no longer work.
Can anyone advise on how to get these back?

1. In general Start menu - previously accessed program shortcuts don't work
2. Excel - alt + enter for new line in cell - no longer works
3. CTRL + B for bold in all office apps - again no longer works?

It's doing my head in... can anyone help?

Have you tried reinstalling or repair the affected applications?

yes i tried but nothing has changed - do you know anything else that may help?
