I just bought a computer from Fry's and took it home. I started it up
for the first time and Windows Vista started installing itself. I
accidently turned off the light switch that controls the power to the
outlets that my computer was plugged into. Now when I turn on my
computer it starts up but then I get an error message. It tells me that
there was an unexpected shutdown while installing Windows Vista and that
I have to restart my computer by clicking on OK. I clicked on OK but
when it starts up it gives me the same message. Ive done this like 10
times and each time it gives me the same error message.

If someone can help me out with this or knows how to fix this I would
greatley appreciate it!

god bless you

i did the same thing except intentionally shut it off with the intent to do
it later. If i recall, i had to boot from the CD and actually reinstall to a
new windows directory.

Since you just bought the computer and have nothing on it of your own,
restore it to factory condition. Refer to the computer manual as to how
to do this. It will be easiest to just start over in your case.

Try booting into Safe Mode by continuously tapping the F8 key when you power
up.
