help with sp 3

As with several others i cannot get sp 3 to install, I do not have the ms
office pro w/frontpage disc. I have tried all the suggestions here in the
group to get around it, to no avail.

So...i now need to ask a question...i have ms office 2003 disc and thinking
of loading that instead. Questions concerning this are:

1. Do I need to uninstall the msofficepro before installing 2003 or will it
overwrite it?
2. If I have to uninstall or even if overwriting it, will i lose all the
emails in my outlook when i do this?
3. If i install the 2003 office will it make that stupid servicepack 3 go
away or will it still not let me use my excel?
4. Is there anyway to just delete this freakin service pack 3 since it
isn't installed yet? If so how do i find the dang thing on my computer to
delete it?

I use excel for my job here at home and i do not want to loose any files in
the process of fixing this.

PLEASE HELP ME!
