Hello Anyone,
I have recently bought an Axim 30 that unfortunately I haven't had a chance
to fully use due to a Sync with the exchange server that has never succeded
once!
The Sync works perfectly on Desktop but when it comes to logging onto the
server I get kicked out all the time with an authorization denial. The bad
thing is that I use an ISP that hosts my account exchange so I have no
physical control over the Exchange server or settings. They have assured me
that everything is properly set and all should work fine but I still can't
connect and I don't see how to work it it around if not calling out for help
in these newsgroup. I don't really know how to do this but I fear that the
only way would be trying with some "testing account" to perform a Sync. I
just need one to make sure that it si not an hardware problem but only a
lack of know how to configure a server from my ISP staff (beside that are
washing their hands off just saying it is an hardware problem). The test
can be accomplished in both ways either I provide a testing account for the
exchange that will expire in one month (It burns my guts throwing away extra
$ for a test I should not be paying myself but I have anyway purchased
another account to provide for a test). Or if there are some angel out
there providing a testing account to perform a connection with it that can
also be a good thing.

If you have any suggestion or a place online wher I can perform a test
please help!
Lorenzo

Is the ActiveSync error a 403 ? If is it this article has a fix that worked
for us:

The registry setting is a REG_SZ value called 'SMTPProxy'

http://msexchange.org/tutorials/Exch...ess-Part2.html

Of course if the ISP is uncooperative you may need to fix that problem
first.

Caio Larry (check OUR names!),
what to say it is exactly the right error message so I am pretty sure what
you have brought up is the problem. I am just so glad the professionals are
out there and a helping hand is always reached out.
I still can't beleive how much proof Tech support is out here in newsgroup.
Thank again I was really mad. Now I have a further question since I
strongly beleive that the slobby service I am using which is the ONLY one in
Italy that hosts exchange (if you kow anybody at Microsoft please inform
them that have chosen a weak partner) but you know this is Italy and the
word service has a different meaning. Ok I'll shut up with wining.
While dripping tiers on my keyboard last night right after posting the
thread I had another smart idea (beside posting the thrd). Look out for a
better service maybe somenthing that has a bit of costumer support !!! I
started looking around and I have realized how dumb I have been (just
looking within "Italy") I have found many that more deserve my money other
then ...ok I'll stop. I have checked your web site too and I was wondering
how long takes to have the DNS moved to another hosting?

I thank you again!
Lorenzo
