I have Vista Premium Installed on Drive C. I have a second drive, New
Volume
(L) I use for backups and some program installations. It lists duplicate
folders for desktop, documents, downloads, favorites, links, etc. It also
has six folders with no names and seem to be empty but when I delete one or
all, my icons disappear from the desktop. I restored them and now I am
afraid
to delete any of the duplicates fearing I might crash my computer. I don't
know how this happened or what I did wrong. I am 71
years old and not very technically inclined. I would appreciate any help.
I have a snap shot of my desktop if anyone would like to see it. I can
email it to you. Thanks ()

Hmm... might want to check this:

Click Start Orb

Type "Folder" in search box

Click on "Folder Options" in search return list

Click View tab

Is the Hidden files and folders "Show hidden files and folders" radio
button selected? If yes, click on the "Do not show hidden files and folders"
radio button. Is the "Hide protected operating system files" check box
checked? If no, click on it to check it.

Click OK button.

Go back to L drive and see if duplicate folders are still presented. If no,
continue on and don't worry about it. If yes, post reply.

Thanks,

Lang
