There was a time when I was using MSN Messenger at home and at work. I
upgraded one of those machines to Live Messenger. At that point, all my
contacts were prompted to accept a Contact invitation, as though I had just
added them to my Messenger account, even though there were already there.
Since that time, my work machine and home machine have two independently
functioning sets of users, as though I have two separate Messenger accounts.
I have even flattened my home box, reinstalled Messenger, and I now work for
a different company and thus have a new work machine, too, but I still have
what appear to be two separate Messenger accounts. My contacts have TWO of me
in their Contact lists.

What's going on??? How can I fix (or have fixed) this mess???

Thanks!
Jay

Greetings Jay,

Well that certainly shouldn't have happened. If you press Alt-T on the keyboard in any
Messenger window, then Options, then Privacy tag, are people listed in the Allow list twice
as well?

Your best bet would be to just have them delete both contacts and readd you.
