HELP!! Updates introduced a problem with wireless networking!!!

I recently updated my windows updater and received the latest security
patches for Office 2003 and Windows XP Professional.
This has introduced a problem into my system that I haven't been able to
resolve.
Since this install, the wireless networking now has a download lock, where
web pages will freeze during downloading, file transfers will stall, etc...
This has made wireless networking basically inoperable and I am only able to
use hard-wired network connections reliably.
HELP!!!! What do I need to change back that the Microsoft Updated changed
to cause the problem??? Is it the activex for the updater or the WMF patch
or????
