Help using Task Scheduler

I need help. I’m sure this will be easy for a Vista pro, but I’m just
spinning my wheels trying to make this work.

I’m using Vista Business, and am running a FileMaker Pro 8.5 database.
Here’s what I want to do: I want to create a task that will shut down
FileMaker at 1am, make a copy of the database file, then restart the
database. My backup software won’t backup an open FileMaker database, so
having a copy of the database that then gets backed up every night, is the
next best thing I could think of. If someone has a better way to do this, I’m
open for suggestions.

I’ve tried to create a custom Task to do this, but after a few weeks of
putzing with this, I need a fresh perspective.
