I'm very confused. If you delete Windows Media Player in full, you've
fundamentally broken your install of Vista and do need to either repair,
reinstall, or format and reinstall. If you want to keep limping along with
the current system, you could try using an alternative Media Center option
from some random third party. But Media Center very much uses the player,
sorry.
If you're having problems with the player, it might be possible to deal with
them in a more positive fashion.
