help windows update error 80244019

someone suggested regedit and follow steps but i make it as far as windows
but then theres no windows update so i can change the value. any other
suggestions.

However, if SSL is working properly, this issue may also be caused by the
incorrect
settings in WinHTTP Proxy settings. As you do not use a proxy on the
computer,
let’s try the following steps to clear the proxy cache.

1. Click on Start, and then click on Run.
2. Type cmd in the Open box to get a DOS prompt.
3. Type proxycfg -d at the command prompt, and press Enter.

4. Type net stop wuauserv at the command prompt, and press Enter.
5. Type net start wuauserv at the command prompt, and press Enter.

After this, please go to the update website and check the results again.

Try stopping "winHTTP Web Proxy Auto Discovery Service" and see if it helps

To stop the service

1. Click Start - Search for Services.msc and press enter.

2. In the right-pane, scroll down to the “winHTTP Web Proxy Auto Discovery
Service“. Right-click and select “stop�.

3. Now, start Windows update and check if that helps.
