Recently reformated hard disk. Installed Windows XP Home SP1. Upgraded to SP2.
Clicking on the Help & Support link from -->Start does not work.
Also tried clicking Help & Support Center in Windows Explorer menu, no can
do.
Even tried clicking on helpctr.exe in C:\WINDOWS\PCHealth\HelpCtr\Binaries\
again nothing. helpctr.exe version: 5.1.2600.2180 all others [dlls, exe, same
version]
Tried searching in the Windows Update online to no avail, all items on Help
Center were about vulnerability. The KB is also silent regarding this case.

Tried uninstalling SP2, but then the updates will be removed, too?
Question: Is there a way that the Help Center be reactivated without
reinstalling everything? Is there a Help on Help & Support Center?

Start Menu/Help and Support doesn't work:
Click Start then select Run and type in:
helpctr -regserver
regsvr32 itss
regsvr32 hhctrl.ocx
regsvr32 jscript
Press OK after each one

Why doesn’t Help and Support work?

Thanks a lot. After I posted my Q, went on reding some posts regarding
helpctr and saw this same thing:

> regsvr32 itss
> regsvr32 hhctrl.ocx
> regsvr32 jscript

It worked for me! Thanks a lot and thanks for the other links you gave me,
