I already have a standard blue tooth dongle

It reaches maybe 2 metres at best

I just bought blue tooth speaker which i planned to use 6 metres away
(through walls, etc) and it wont work

I'm looking for a high range blue tooth dongle

I notice the ones on ebay (where i bought mine) advertise up to 100 meters -
but these look identical to the one i have & suspect they are

Does anyone know of one that *will* reach 10 metres? or one *specifically*
designed for hi-range

It appears you must seek out a Class One Bluetooth device to get the range
you're looking for. Also be aware that these devices are rated for distance
in OUTDOOR USE - that is, clear air, nothing between them, no walls or
obstructions. They don't deal with walls well, so it may be that not even a
Class One device will do what you want with walls in the way.

Most computer devices, by the way, are Class Three - 10 yards maximum range
OUTDOORS.
