Hi, New to the forums and a noob.

Just wondering why when I put my computer to sleep it immediatley wakes
up without pressing any keys or moving mouse. Same with Hibernate... I
press hibernate it starts saving all info shuts off (power light off)
within 5 seconds it is starting up again.

Can anyone help? With as much info as possible because I dont
understand much

Hello Ash1402
No guarantee.Try this :
Control Panel>System & Maintenance> Power Options> Change pla
settings> Change Advanced power settings> scroll to Multi-medi
settings, click the + sign> + sign again on When sharing media> Plug In
set it at "allow computer to sleep" > Apply/O

Hi Ash

Welcome to Vista Forums. arty

This tutorial may be able to help you find out what is waking up th
computer from sleep mode. I would check your Network device and BIOS t
make sure that the *Wake On ...* settings are disabled or off

Hope this helps

Hello Ash1402
I don't have hibernate in my option. What I'm going to say is purel
speculating at best, borderline rediculous
Start with "sleep". Make sure it works. Then reboot
Now tackle the "hibernate". Make sure it works. Then reboot
This time, try one after the other, without reboot

Hello Ash1402
You might have to do a system restore first, pick yesterday as you
restore point. You must have missed a step or two while following th
tutorial. Anyway, you have to go back to the state before the tutorial
Then start over
