My laptop & desktop both have Vista Home Premium. The laptop allows
hibernation but the Desktop does not give me that option unless in sleep
mode.

I have trouble with sleep mode not staying in that mode in spite of all my
programs closed and would like to make the Desktop Hibernate at my time and
choosing so programs don't have to be shutdown.

Advise how to setup the machine to do this please as the help instructions
from MS and
the Vista setup for that mode do not match. The desktop just doesn't give
me that option.

Thanks, Jim

Open Help then type Troubleshoot Power Problems in the text box.
Choose the first link given, then scroll down to the topic,
"My computer unexpectedly wakes from sleep" Follow the directions there
to see what is causing your computer to wake up.

Thanks Tom however that option " My computer unexpectedly wakes from sleep"
was not in the list to read.

Anything or Anyone else?

Do you have your help file set to read from the Web (online) or only local? It has
to be set to
read online help to find the topic.
