Hibernate logs off only

Hello,

Windows Vista hibernation facilities stopped to work - the POWERCFG -H ON
command does not restore the hibernation facilities, too. The system logs off
(switch off the display, too) but then returns to the login screen directly.
Turning off the login after suspend option causes the system to return to the
desktop directly, too.

System event logs don't show any error messages either. Please advice on
other ways to restore the Vista hibernate function.

Thanks for your help,
Hans
