hibernation after a set time

i have set my computer to hibernate after a set period of time, but nothing
happens. i have even tryed sleep but still the same. i have even set it back
to default settings and changed hibernate after a set period. but yeah still
the same ? any ideas thanks mark.

Hi mark welcome to the board
This usually happens often because some program such as WMP or windo
updates disable hibernate or sleep mode. If you go to power option
advance setting you will find a list of options you can check an
uncheck to you liking

Umm... Mark isn't using that board. Most everyone you read there
isn't using that board. And since he's not using that board, he can't
give you "rep".

Here's a clue: notice that Mark is a "Guest" and his number of posts
is "n/a". His post (and the posts of all others like him) has been
leeched from Microsoft servers. YOUR post has gone out from that
board to the same Microsoft servers - which is where I got it from.
