Hibernation problem

I went to windows update and it stated I needed to install 17 important
updates. After I updated the first three I believe I needed first, I closed
down my computer for a while.

Now, if I go inot hibernation for a short period of time - no problem.

If I go into hibernation overnight, my cimputer won't come out of
hibernation. It stops booting up after the time line complete across the
bottom of the black & white screen just before windows opens.

No matter what I do, I have to shut down the computer and boot again. This
has gotten me angry - my computer was working fine until I installed some of
the updates.

What should I try???
