HID Driver Update Error Code 0x8007000D

Windows XP Pro
Installation of Driver for Saitek Cybork Evo (USB) joystick repeatedly
fails. When installation attempted via Update, Custom, Hardware I notice the
download file size is shown as 0kb. Obviuosly an error on the site ??
Can anyone suggest another site where I can access this driver?

From the manufacturer's site perhaps?

Definitely not from WU.
0kb indicates that the file has already been downloaded and hasn't been installed.
Check in softwaredistribution\downloads folder.

Any drivers should be obtained from the Manufacturer's site.

Thanks for the explanation. Unfortunately I couldn't resolve the matter
easily so bit the bullet & re-loaded the OS & Apps. Took a couple of days but
all is now fine.

Hi there,

Never take drivers from windows update unless they are intended forMicrosoft
hardware.

If an updated driver is needed because the hardware does not work proper go
to the manufacturers website to look for an updated driver.

If it ain't broke: do not try to"FIX" it.

If you did take the optional drivers from windows update try booting last
known good configuration, rolling back on the driver or system restore or
restore from the system backup you hopefully made.
