Hiding Updates

I have the Zune 3.1 update installed, but when I
run Windows update, it says it is available for update.
The help section mentions that you can hide an update,
but I can't seem to find how to do that.
It is only shown as an optional update, but I'd rather not
see it whenever I check for updates!

Any clues on how to hide it so I stop getting nagged???

Thanks in advance,

Dave

Before you install updates, you will see a window that tells you there are downloads to install
(Windows Update). Under Install Updates, click "View Available Updates", right click the update you
want to hide, and click "Hide Update".

Unfortunately, when I run Update again, the optional update is still there,
even though I have installed it (as a side note, I installed it via the Zune
website, originally.)

There should be a way to hide it permanently without resorting to
UNINSTALLING the update and re-installing it through the Update website!

Rich,

Here is the update #:

Zune Software 2.3 (KB933888)

Download size: 33.8 MB

You may need to restart your computer for this update to take effect.

Update type: Optional

Amazing!

I did it again, and this time it seemed to work!
Now, when I do a new search for updates, that particular update
doesn't appear.
Don't know why it took five or six tries for it to comply...
and, yes, I did use the same procedure each time!

Thanks to all...

Dave

Don't have a Zune... just wanted to Google the KB to see if there were
known problems with the installation.

Doesn't look as if there is.

Uninstall and reinstall. Can't hurt. Might fix.
