Greetings Tom,
Never heard of the Yahoo part of it, although it's possible most people who get these only
have one Messenger client. In general, virus/spyware/worm etc. scanners will *not* find
these simply because there's so many variants and most don't last that long as the websites
change quickly since Microsoft, Yahoo, web site operators start to block them.
Luckily they're pretty easy to remove as they generally operate as single running programs
showing up in the Processes tab in the Task Manager (or other applications like Process
Explorer). All you have to do is figure out what process it is, shut it down and delete it.
