Why cant I view my message history in messenger. I have tick the relevant box
in options

You don't view history in messenger. Go to the relevant folder and open
the XML document of your contact/buddy.

Did you just tick it? Messenger saves conversations when you close the conversation window
(not during).

As an alternative, you might consider using Messenger Plus Live (www.msgplus.net) to save
your message history as its far superior (saves full formatting, emoticons, etc.) and saves
instantly as opposed to having to close the conversation window.
