history of updates in windows update

Hello,
I upgraded to IE7, the updates to my pc no longer appear on the windows
update page. I do know they show up inAdd/Remove program.
I was just wondering why.

windows xp home edition, SP2

I have the same problem. When checking the updates history it does not
display thise installed before IE7 installation.
Why is no one explaining why?
