HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Contro l\Lsa

Apologies for re-posting this question - it got berried on the threa
that I had attached it too. Any assistance greatly appreciated.

I need to use this regedit for my Vista home premium laptop running o
a home network with various flavours of Mac OSX. I believe I need to d
this because at present I cannot get my Vista laptop to recognize th
credentials for my Mac OSX 10.3.9 machine.

Could somebody please explain any potential hazards to lowering th
HKEY of the LSA to 1 for when I use my laptop on a home network as wel
as a public network. Am I making my laptop vulnerable when it is on
public network?

Then most likely you're not using the correct network protocols between
the two machines. And the MAC machine may not be giving the correct
credentials that Vista will recognize.

Does it even work in resolving the issue?

Do you even know what those settings mean or really do?
