Today I downloaded the following updates from the Microsoft web page:

Product Update Status Date Source

Windows XP Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0: x86 (KB829019) Wednesday, February
01, 2006 Microsoft Update website

Windows XP Windows Media Connect 2.0 (KB909993) Wednesday, February 01,
2006 Microsoft Update website

Windows XP Microsoft Base Smart Card Cryptographic Service Provider Package:
x86 (KB909520) Wednesday, February 01, 2006 Microsoft Update website

Windows XP Update for WMDRM-enabled Media Players (KB891122) Wednesday,
February 01, 2006 Microsoft Update website

Windows XP Update for Windows XP (KB900930) Wednesday, February 01, 2006
Microsoft Update website

Windows XP Update for Windows XP (KB896344) Wednesday, February 01, 2006
Microsoft Update website

And NOW I can no longer open IE and my Media Player says it has to close
every time I open it. I can however access IE through a link but not from
the IE.exe, but several web pages will NOT open either.

I also can not remove as these updates do NOT show in my Add Remove Panel.
Where can I go and how can I UNINSTALL these updates??

Any suggestions?

Thank you

Add/Remove Programs > make sure "Show Updates" is checked.

Check windowsupdate.log for install information (errors, etc.) regarding
these updates.

1. See the "Need more help? Tell us what problem you are having" section of
http://support.microsoft.com/?scid=ph;en-us;6527

2. You cannot install some updates or programs
http://support.microsoft.com/default...b;en-us;822798

3a. Check Windowsupdate.log (%windir%\Windowsupdate.log) for errors
associated with the download/install.

How to read the Windowsupdate.log file:
http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=902093

3b. Compare errors to those listed here:
http://inetexplorer.mvps.org/archive...date_codes.htm and/or go to
http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com > click on Help and Support link in left
pane > Solve problems on your own.
