Hi,

We know that we can set a home page for IE. I wonder if we can do a similar
thing for windows explorer, i.e. set a "home folder" which is opened
whenever a windows explorer is invoked. Currently, whenever a windows
explorer is invoked, "My computer" is set as the "home folder" which
contains C:, D:, etc. I have a folder which has a set of shortcuts leading
to my favorite folders. I wonder if I can set this folder as my "home
folder", which can save lots of my keyboard strokes and mouse clicks.
Thanks for any help.

JD

I tried to open the property of the shortcut of explorer.exe in the
accessory folder. Then I changed the target field to have c:\temp as my
default folder. It works fine if I click the shortcut. However, if I hit
the windows key (between ctrl key and alt key) plus letter E, window
explorer is lauched without c:\temp as my default. Apparently, the windows
key plus E lauches another shortcut to explorer.exe. Where is that
shortcut? I would have to change that shortcut's property to make c:\temp
as default. Is it possible? Any help is much appreciated.

JD
