Everything is working fine know.
Do each step.
Hello Tony,
Thank you for writing to MSNBC Technical Support.
My name is Emer and I understand you are experiencing issue loading the
MSNBC homepage since downloading Microsoft updates.
To resolve your issue, here are some suggested fixes that you may try:
A. Clear Cache and Delete Cookies
It is possible that your browser is accessing the page directly from your
computer's cache. Every time you log on to the Internet, temporary Internet
files or cookies are being stored on your computer's cache. As time passes,
these files become cluttered and can adversely affect communication that
instead of accessing the website directly from the server, your browser
detects the website content from the cache, causing difficulty in viewing
some pages. I recommend that you clear your cache then delete your cookies to
maintain your browser's performance. Please follow the steps below:
1. Open a new Internet Explorer browser.2. Click "Tools", and then click
"Internet Options".
3. Click the "General" tab.
4. Click "Delete Cookies", and click "OK".
5. Click "Delete Files", and click "OK".
6. Click "Clear History", and click "Yes".
7. Click "OK".
B. Enable the "Every Visit to the Page" Option
Doing this maintains your browser's performance by letting it view webpages
directly from the website's server. This let you view a website from its most
updated version when you refresh its page. To do this, please follow these
instructions:
1. Open a new Internet Explorer browser.
2. Click "Tools", and then click "Internet Options".
3. Click the "General" tab.
4. Click the "Settings" button found on the "Temporary Internet files"
section.
5. Check the "Every visit to the page&qu ot; button.
6. Click and drag the arrow in the "Amount of disk space to use" section to
maximize the disk storage for browsing.
7. Click on "OK" twice.
C. Reconfigure your Security Settings
When your browser's security settings are set to "High", you may experience
an issue accessing our sites. To prevent this, your security and privacy
settings should be reset to default. Please follow these steps:
1. Open a new Internet Explorer browser.
2. Click on "Tools", and then click on "Internet Options".
3. Click the "Security" tab.
4. Click the "Default Level" button, if it not greyed out.
5. Move the "Security Level" slider to "Medium" if the slider is available
on the left side.
6. Click "OK".
D. List MSNBC as a Trusted Site
1. Click "Tools," and then click "Internet Options." < BR/>2. Click the
"Security" tab.
3. On the "Security" tab, click the "Trusted Sites" icon.
Important The default security setting for "Trusted sites" is "Low." (You
can see and adjust the "Security setting for this site" slider for all
"Trusted sites" by clicking "Default Level.") Add sites to your "Trusted
sites" list only if you trust that the content on the site is safe.
4. Click "Sites."
5. Clear the "Require server verification (https

for all sites in this
zone" checkbox.
6. Click in the "Add this Web site to the zone" textbox and type
"http://www.msnbc.msn.com/" (without the quotation marks) in the textbox.
7. Click "Add."
8. Click "OK," and then click "OK" again.
E. Verify if javascript settings on your browser are enabled.
1. Click on & quot;Tools" again.
2. Click on "Internet Options".
3. Click the "Security" tab.
4. Click on "Custom level" under Security level for this zone.
5. Select Internet zone security should be set to Medium; or if Custom, then
Script ActiveX controls marked safe for Scripting should be enabled.
Note: If you are using a different Internet browser, please contact your
Internet browser's customer support for instructions on how to clear cache,
delete cookies, enable the "every visit of the page" option, maximize amount
of disk space to use, reset security and privacy settings, list MSNBC as a
trusted site, verify if JavaScript settings are enabled.
Also, I suggest that you download the latest version of Macromedia Flash and
Shockwave Players through the links below as the games on the site are being
run by these programs:
http://www.macromedia.com/shockwave/.../download.cgi?
P1_Prod_Version=ShockwaveFlash
http://www.macromedia.com/software/shockwaveplayer/
After this process, close all your browser's windows and open a new and
single window. Try accessing MSNBC homepage again. Please don't start
scrolling the page until the word "Done" is displayed on the lower part of
the browser.
If you continue to encounter the issue, it would help if you can check any
spyware program that is installed on your computer. You may visit: the link
below in order to learn how to install the adware and spyware remover on your
computer. Running the Spyware/Adware remover on your PC can also fix the
problem.
